Analysis of the impact of Hurricane Wilma on real estate values in South Florida. The damage level and distance are the same parameters used in the previous analysis with Hurricane Andrew. The results show a much more random result in the effect of distance from the hurricane on the change rate. The points on the scatterplot are distributed around the center, with many points in every quadrant. The Global Moran's I, being closer to 0, indicate there is no significant correlation between distance from Hurricane Wilma and the change rate of the real estate, although we do see a somewhat greater change in rate associated with a shorter distance from the hurricane. On the TerraFly Map, the blue polygons are areas which were closer to the hurricane and had a surrounding area with negative change rate. The red polygons were further from the hurricane and had the surrounding area with a positive change rate. While the light blue polygons were closer to the hurricane but the surrounding area was a positive change rate. Finally, the light red polygons were further from the Hurricane but the negative surrounding area was negative. Updated 2016-12-15.12:33
